How long have you been in business?
Charleston's Best Tours has been in operation since 1999. It is the fifthh oldest ghost tour company in the city.
What is your primary product or service?
Our primary service is offering nightime ghost tours in historic Charleston. We can also arrange private daytime ghost/history tours for private groups or charter groups.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have been a licensed tour guide in the city of Charleston since 2002, and I began working for Charleston's Best Tours as a ghost tour guide in 2003. I have a love of history, and becoming a tour guide was a natural fit for me. I have owned this company since 2005 when I was presented with the opportunity to purchase the business from the original owner.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
1. We offer only career tour guides to lead each and every ghost tour. We have six guides on staff with a total of 62 years experience between them! We only employ guides who are dedicated to this profession. 2. Our ghost stories are not based on legend and folklore - we tell stories that have been documented and corroborated by several individuals.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Our tours start and end at the Griffon Tavern, located at 18 Vendue Range, Charleston SC 29401.
